I am a militant pacifist, I will support any and all war necessary to bring peace, human rights and meaningful democracy to any and all oppressed people before they are inevitably erased by genocide or indoctrinated and used to bring war against other innocents by authoritarian tyrants.

I once believed the USA actually shared these values, and thus deserved their place as hegemon of the international rules based order, but their increasingly apathetic, increasingly ineffectual, increasingly dishonest, increasingly self-serving and increasingly counterproductive efforts, with minor issues starting as far back as the Korean war and only getting steadily more dire in example after example the closer we come to modern times, had already started to seriously erode that point of view, long before they were finally taken over by an authoritarian tyrant.

Team America: World Police was always fiction, I think, and I’ll admit it had me fooled for much longer than it should have, until it just became too obvious to deny, the faster they were to pump oil, extract strategic concessions or exploit resources without meaningfully contributing to any stability or security or safety for the people.
