      I mean that’s fair, but some of us know our audiences (who might learn better from verbal instructions) or our strengths. Then there’s folk who just like the sound of their own voice. I’m not sure how ego makes someone illiterate, but this is the internet I’m sure y’all only need 15 minutes.

      The issue isn’t so much the explaining, as whether the person doing the listening has the skill sets etc. to understand. Not to mention sometimes the person doing the explaining needs to confirm some information to make sure they are explaining the correct thing. Sometimes people don’t ask the right question, especially if it’s a multi step problem. I still hate it though.
