    Exactly. Cats are extremely affectionate. If we’re away from our cat in another room for a long period, he’ll carry his toy mouse while yowling. Once he finds us, he drops it near us and we’ll get head bumps and tail hugs.

    The cats that don’t seem to be affectionate could be for owners that don’t really know how to interact with them properly. Or the ones that just let them roam around, don’t engage them or try enrichment, etc.

      Dogs are loving and affectionate by default but cats just need a bit of love and affection back to get there.
