Always has to be a group who sees the negative in it
It would be stupid to ignore the negatives just to chase a perceived positive. The guy made a lot of valid points for not wanting to join. Once the collective has proven it can do what it set out to do without the downsides then maybe they will reevaluate joining.
Same energy as the person who shows up late for the group project after all the work has already been done
Ah yes. The classic this open source maintainer should donate his time the way I think he should.
A group project is non-optional. How someone donates their time is entirely up to them.
