Tabby cat patterns shift over time as the multicolored hairs of their fur grows. Which is why it’s a dumb idea for a tattoo. But maybe in the moment they just really liked the design.
It captured a moment in time, and it’s a representation of a source of love and affection. There are far worse tattoos out there, no need to shit on someone’s artistic decisions.
Especially because without the cat, it’s impossible to tell what it is either way. The pattern started out abstract and the tattoo is as close as it needs to be. It’s a memory.
