The launch of Ubisoft’s Vantage Studios, the company’s first “Creative House” set to oversee the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six franchises, disrupted those plans as in-development titles came under review as part of the restructure.

And people told me the Tencent investment would make things better…

Trust Ubisoft to take an actual good creative idea that piqued my interest, and to kill it off. Coming up next, another assassin’s creed that is exactly like the last one.

    • Pretty much sums up my entire opinion about the company. They have some pretty dope multiplayer ideas in a lot of different games, but they’re always undercooked and pretty much abandoned. And the 100% multiplayer games they have rn are pretty generic and don’t use any of the fun shit from the MP components of their primarily SP titles. 😮‍💨

Shame, I feel like stealth co-op can be a really fun gameplay setup. Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven was the go-to game for me and my childhood friend whenever we went for couch co-op. I also had some fun with Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow back in the day

I’ve heard about people enjoying the co-op missions in AC: Unity, but unfortunately I personally never had any friends to play that game with, and I don’t really want to team up with strangers. But I feel like a co-op Assassin’s Creed could be good.

It does. I tried it just a couple months ago.

The only mod I had was one to make the cloth physics act normally. For some reason on PC they’re very static/stuttery looking.

They were awful on console anyway for whatever reason. But Unity had the best co-op so it didnt matter that it was buggy, well it did but we did it

The co-op missions in Unity were honestly some of the most fun I’ve had playing AC. A more full-length game of that would’ve been AWESOME. Like the story could be co-op (or at least mostly) 1-4 players, and you build up your own “local” guild of Assassins.

Basically bring back all the old guild mechanics from Brotherhood-Syndicate like sending other assassins out on missions and contracts.
