    Man, I’d love for one of these miracle battery developments to pan out. But thus far, er… no:

    While currently in the patent and laboratory phase, this development has jolted the automotive and battery industries worldwide. This potential breakthrough positions Huawei as a formidable new player in the highly competitive race to commercialize next-generation battery technology.

    (Reminder that generally speaking, patents don’t have to work)

    This doesn’t exist yet. Much like Suphur doped graphene or any ot the other million “5x the energy density of lion” developments we’ve heard about, this will be news when they develop a usable battery from the tech, not just report on theoretical capabilities based on performance in a lab.
