It’s about feddit, not all Germans, and 99.9% is for comedic effect. I don’t know what percentage of feddit users are zionists or what percentage of German Lemmy users are feddit users, but the instance as a whole defends and promotes zionism, which is why it was defederated. If you’re not a zionist then I have no problem with you (or any other German user).
The percentage of German users who are Feddit users is realistically quite small. The percentage of feddit users who are Zionists is likely also small (less small) but the ones who are Zionists are insanely loud or in positions of authority on Feddit. Which is why Feddit is considered problematic and why we defederated them.
A few bad apples can end up spoiling the whole bunch.
