Dude, plenty of influencers are from Europe as well, I don’t really care what breed of shitstain profligate gets turned into a greasy stain on the concrete just that they do. As @Cosmonauticus@lemmy.world put better a lot of the influencers who would go to Dubai are the types who are probably scamming folks.
Also I have nothing but loathing for celebrity culture. As I said I’m from the more Redneck part of SoCal, I don’t really have a horse in this race. Sure I want to see damned near every pissant in DC hanged but that isn’t anything new. I can’t add anything else beyond openly saying some folks should die. Yes it’s sad that civilians are being caught in the crossfire, but that feels like an obvious observation.
Maybe my perception is a bit warped from growing up during Iraq and Afghanistan but what else should I fucken say? Should I be posting myself going “oh I’m sorry I was born in the US” because that ain’t gonna happen, I’m Californian not American I fucken hate this empire and frankly hope I live long enough to kill folks who do like it.
Well our president is a direct result of American vapidness and celebrity worship that led to the shit stain of person being elected president. A literal subhuman celebrity was voted president and started this war. Plus the type of influencer living in Dubai probably make most of their money off of scaming ppl worldwide and are a detriment to society.
I dont think its an American thing to want to see shitty ppl get some form of karma
This thread is about influencers leaving Iran. It’s not a stretch that someone is going to talk about influencers leaving Iran in it, and their thoughts on influencers in general… war has an almost infinite number of facets and angles, to discuss one isn’t “making it about” that.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to comment on Americans always making things about celebrities and influencers, even if there is many facets to war.
This is the facet on the war, of which there are many, that the posts and the commenter highlight and I’m commenting on it because I find the talk of “bloodthirst” and “sad there’s innocent people killed, better take some of those influencers with them” appalling.
You hate influencers, but you guys still make this about the US and its influencers. “Sad there is a war, but please kill our influencers”.
That’s about the Americanest thing I ever read. Not everything is about you and your celebrities.
Can you imagine people replying with the subject the post was about?
Fucking Americans and their ability to stay on topic.

Yes you’re really turning into a caricature of the US
