They are currently voting on amends to the regulation. The “Chat Control” proposal would legalise scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and digital security for all EU citizens.

    There’s a party called “Pirates”…

    On a serious note, I’m not familiar with those that were absent, but I always advise to check if it’s common for them to vanish when touchy subjects are discussed.

      For the Dutch absentee, that’s very typical for that party. Always shouting everything is wrong, but never there to fix things.
