Couldn’t agree more with the sentiment, a fantastic outlook :). I am the complete opposite on the pasta front and try to find the longest pasta I can. So much more fun twirling one giant noodle at a time.

I daily drive LMDE with a 4070ti super, works perfect. I do use the proprietary drivers but I hardly ever have issues.

It’s great, well worth a try. Stable, functional and compatible, just how I like it.

Thats what LMDE is for, Linux Mint Debian Edition. Been my daily driver for years. Otherwise I use vanilla Debian for all my server and headless stuff.

They arrived when arcade machines started charging more than one quarter per play. They are there to make it easier to spend money, I mean once you bought them, why not spend them all?

They should have never gone to them. Arcades should be something you visit with a pocket full of quarters.

So far I’m fairly impressed with it. I’ll stick to Debian and LMDE for my purposes, but the family computer got a new life just in time for the RAM and SSD garbage.

But your comment made me go back and look out of disbelief. How does a person get this far down a rabbit hole?

I am still pissed off about losing Force Touch on the iPhone. Haptic Touch is so much worse and slow. I loved using various pressures with good feedback for things that made sense. It was so much faster and more deliberate than the stupid replacement.

It felt like a great step in this direction, but instead of improving, they just shitcanned it for something much worse.

She might be further down the list, but she’s still on it. You cannot accumulate billions and be a good person full stop.

I prefer them medium rare (I am literally wearing an “eat the rich” shirt right now).

I don’t know, I kind of like hearing about the ongoing dumpster fire. It’s been years since I have been to reddit, so its kinda nice being reminder of why I’ve stayed away.

I intend on continuing to use it as long as I can with my adblockers, noscript extensions, pinhole and so forth in place. I will keep up the game as long as it can be played, and when I lose, I’ll walk away.

I cannot tolerate the enshittification cycle. I’m happy to pay for services, I’m not happy being frogboiled into having to pay for them.
