river is great. It’s far more stable than any other wayland compositor I’ve used.
I’d recommend river to anyone looking for an alternative wayland dynamic tiling wm.
Seems like a very bad decision
Not on Sid and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed.
This is false.
You can’t really choose the release cycle on a per package basis practically:

Pacman also supports optional dependencies.
It’s way faster though.
Maybe mention tiling WMs too. Beginners may not directly be interested but it’s still a very important benefit of Linux.
The package manager does matter, Void and Arch have good package managers, while Debian, Fedora, and OpenSUSE have bad package managers.

Arch does not just randomly break and Zypper is unfathomably slow.
river or sway
I like the look of tiling wms with a top bar. Hyprland looks especially nice with rounded corners and color gradients. Too bad it’s not stable enough to be my daily driver at the moment.
no, the statistics are based on browser agents, very few steam deck users browse the Internet on their devices. it’s also only half the Linux devices on steam, not of all Linux desktops
lunduke is possibly the biggest asshole in the Linux space. do not share his garbage “journalism”.
