The new Xbox leadership seems competent. Which the Microsoft leadership quickly noticed and sabotaged. At least that’s what I’m stitching together from the timeline of headlines in recent months.
Many aspects of Xbox seemed to improve until Microsoft announced a tighter grip around Xbox recently. Now everything is going downhill faster than ever. It’s amazing how quickly Microsoft is demolishing their gaming branch.

Don’t read too much into it. I was merely criticizing the whole ecosystem around it. Because for every “government slapped” story there’s at least one where fans threatened the devs because they didn’t feel pandered to enough. The whole situation is just toxic.

Perhaps you should read the article.

Genuinely surprised they even dared to release a female character in shorts to a Chinese audience. You would think they know how much they indoctrinated their audience with trashy fan service by now. The stories about enraged lonely guys almost ending an entire franchise over not pandering enough to their fantasies are crazy. You don’t want to mess with those guys. It could put your employees in actual danger.
For acorns, pebbles and trash that seemed useful at the moment?

He will continue to make our lives harder of course.
I thought the bottom row was already old a year ago.

Happy Birthday Cheeseburgers! Look who made you a cake!
Valve is far from perfect but I for one still have access to the movies I bought on Steam even after they delisted them. They’re winning again by doing literally nothing.

Because studio execs don’t care about women and want the super hero fad to continue even when audiences have moved on for the most part. They play it save, by the numbers with spread sheets at hand. The people in charge have no passion for these stories whatsoever because again, they don’t care about women.
“Americans” as in white Europeans?

You know, going by this and other comments I think you have the right idea. Like, we all are wearing blinkers as we go about our day because our whole world would fall apart if we fully realize our part in this mess. I imagine some older folks lie to themselves about global warming because their whole world view would fall apart completely.

It felt surreal arguing with boomers about record breaking temperatures the other day. Like, a new record was just broken for the highest temperatures in many European countries while we’re sitting there, sweating our balls off in the middle of a 2 week long heat wave. “Nah” they kept saying “We’ve had hot days before.” When I showed them statistics they refused to look at them. Instead they changed the topic instantly and ignored me for a good 15 minutes. Those weren’t some strangers I just met, mind you. I’ve known these guys for my entire life.
Too many people but especially older people (at least from my experience) are completely delusional about climate. They aren’t interested in facts, not interested in other people telling them they’re wrong and they even ignore what they’re experiencing themselves right now in favor of a severely distorted, rather vague idea of what a summer used to be 50 years ago.

China has far more money than Italy. Especially in sports. They’re just traditionally bad at team sports. As a nation, that is. There are of course Chinese star athletes playing in a team on the international stage but not enough to actually compete in most things as a national team.
I think the friendslop trend is great. It brings the couch gaming experience into the modern era after a long time in coma.

I’m no American but we’ve had guys like him in German politics a lot. Their socialism is all lip service. The moment they take office it’s thrown out the window for neoliberal BS. Newsom in particular has proven this in CA already, hasn’t he?

I will say that “tiny form factor” shifts the goal post here a little. I do agree that’s probably the one and only real selling point for the Gabecube. But why wait months until it arrives instead of buying something now that’s basically just as good for the same price? Does it really have to be that small and quiet at all cost? It’s a tiny niche, frankly. And whether you use DDR4 or DDR5 has very little impact on low range machines from my experience.

I think it blatantly showcases how backwards our reality has become. Sure you could say you could get something very similar for roughly the same. I would even say you can pretty easily find something a little better for that money but you could also get something much better for roughly the same years ago.
The specs look horrendously bad for the price if you happen to be someone who upgraded just 2 or 3 years ago but the reality is that we won’t get anything nearly as good as back then for a somewhat acceptable price for a very long time. 6 months from now the price could actually start to seem a little low and I wish I was kidding.
I genuinely think Valve tried their best but it still feels like a slap in the face by AI companies.
Microsoft was always buying companies to drive them off the cliff. Or rather to lead them behind the barn. There’s even an older Simpsons bit about Microsoft’s cut throat methods. Nothing about this is new or surprising.
