The simple thing is, they are comics that give a flavor of the times. Males ARE acting this way. Is it a caricature of a scenario, sure, but that’s what a fucking comic is. Does it have to be “funny” in order to be a comic? No, there are political comics everywhere. Why does pizzacake only get this sort of ire? Is it because she’s calling out white males on the absurdity of their actions, and they don’t like it?

Yeah, in the interest of not having a bloody, civil war, I’d rather try to correct the economic paradigm that we have rather than instill a new one that will have its own set of unique and terrible problems (for example, see nomenklatura).

The chaos that will arise from the transition will be deadly, terrifying, and profound. It is not something I wish my children to have to go through. So, yeah…of course I’d rather work to fix the system that we have.

The phrase “are ethically wrong” is hilarious. According to whose code of ethics? How are their ethics more moral than someone else’s set of ethics?

There’s literally entire branches of philosophy dedicated to the concept of morals and the concepts of good and evil.

Edit: Also, to add on to this, something can be ethically right but morally wrong, or ethically wrong but morally right.

If this was just an article criticizing identify politics, that’d be one thing, but to identify it as a byproduct of capitalism is shortsighted and dishonest. Socialism has grasped with its own identity politics in every single socialist country: race, gender, ethnicity, and religion. These things don’t just go away. And sure, it wouldn’t be the " capitalist elites" pushing these items …it would be the political elites and beurocractic resource managers (i.e. the nomenklatura) that would use the SAME EXACT POLITICS to sew class division (i.e. divide and conquer - exploit the differences of the opposition to prevent the formation of a unified resistance to any sort of political elite). It can also be used to solidify power for the political elite - for example, when Stalin deported certain ethnic groups ( Chechins, Crimean Tartars, etc) by labeling them as “counter-revolutionaries”). It can be used to marginalize dissenters, label them as “not true socialists”, and accuse them of treason for not aligning with the class in solidarity.

Socialism isn’t some magical fix to the world and will come with its own nightmarish list of shortcomings.
