Great write-up! It’s cool to see your ideas you’ve tossed around set out clearly in an article-format, it’s like a peak into the creative process. I generally agree, but I do think a bit more quantitative build-up is necessary before that qualitative leap, westerners are starting to recognize how China is on the rise but will need a bit more time for that to truly show.

The most an elected Socialist could do is barely cripple the position, they don’t have the power to change the system. It is much better to actually focus all of that effort on organizing, including pushing candidates the party chooses if they do so.

Most Socialist parties focus more on labor organizing and protesting than getting into office, because the system itself is designed against radical change. PSL is a revolutionary party, as an example, though it also fronts candidates for office.

The system is deliberately designed to prevent radical change from within. If you do not toe the party line of the DNC or GOP, you are punished. Rather than trying to engage as a rogue agent, it is better to join a committed party and practice Democratic Centralism. A unified force is far stronger than scattered and directionless force, even if said force is done of good will.

The power of an individual politician is very small, especially if you’re known for betraying your party. It’s much better to join with a good party and make ground through party building than it is to get into office and then be crippled by having no party to support you. Entryism largely doesn’t work.

It’s better to join a Socialist org like PSL and build up that better party than it is to engage with the DNC as a “good” politician. Collective power is better than individuals throwing themselves into the meat grinder.

Communists have always been pro-gun, you can’t have a revolution without them. Things get more nuanced within Socialism, once the revolution has broadly succeeded, but an armed working class in Capitalism is harder to oppress.

Western Germany never de-Nazified, the Nazis teamed up with the Zionists even when the Nazis were in power. They left the Nazis as they were effective anti-Communists, and the West collectively felt that was a worthwhile trade. Germany pays lip service to combatting fighting the Nazis, but keeps the underlying fascism the West in general has.

Unsurprising, still disappointing.

Norway will not be able to transition to Socialism through reformism. Social Democracy is incapable of swapping the balance of power from Capitalists to Workers. Norway depends on Imperialism, as does the rest of the Global North. As this weakens over time, so too will social services. The only path to Socialism for Norway, to have the public sector as the principle aspect of the economy and the Working Class in control, is revolution.

The EU is Imperialist, but thoroughly dependent on the US, and as such are tied to the fate of the US.

Welcome! Becoming aware of the problem and seeking a solution is the first step, so you’re already on step 2! The shortest, most oversimplified answer, is organizing the working class and overthrowing the Capitalist system, replacing it with a worker-run system. So, joining an org, like a Socialist party, is the answer.

But why is this method correct? How can we best organize? What conditions are getting in the way of that, where is the world turning? How did we get here, and where are we going? All of these questions are going to be better able to be answered with reading theory. That’s why the priests of Capital do their best to let it take control, rather than letting humanity steer it. Liberalism is justification for Capital as a benevolent god, while Socialism is about understanding the movements and laws Capital abides by so that we can bend it to our will.
