Easily an ancestor to the first man, I’d guess

It’s doubly fucked in that I have a smart home where everything is controlled locally without the cloud, and this vacuum was the only thing that wasn’t.
Friendly.

It seems out of scope for the tool, IMHO.

My fridge stopped working correctly, only the freezer part would actually cool. I called the local service company. Tech came when I wasn’t home, told my partner “compressor’s broken, though shit” , took 60€ and left.
My combination washer dryer has stopped drying. From what I gather it seems like a compressor gas leak, guess what? Too expensive to fix, so I would have to throw away several tens of kilos of machine just because of a fart’s worth of gas.
I have a Neato robot vacuum which I’ve kept clean and repaired for years, only for fucking Vorwerk, may they go bankrupt tomorrow, to shut down its servers, so now it’s dumb as a rock and next to useless.
It’s not your mother’s fault for assuming a malfunctioning appliance must be replaced.

Do we have to explain conflict of interest?

Some entities have too much money to invest in stupid endeavors, money that they took from everyone else and they can lose without worrying too much. It’s a rotten society.
Did you stop using fossil fuels?
So Russia invaded a North Atlantic proxy with it’s own citizens. Why would it do this?
Because of Euro Maidan. Ukraine used to be Russia’s puppet, but, and I say as someone who’s actually been there, unlike most people who spew bullshit on Lemmy, they were tired of being poor and victim to corruption, and as such they wanted to move towards the ideal of prosperity and legality they saw in the EU. Was there some manipulation from western (CIA) intelligence? Probably, but that shit doesn’t take where the soil isn’t fertile, and that is the fault of Russia, they should have taken better care of their ally.
Russia couldn’t stand losing what they saw as their vassal, so they first took Crimea for the port there, and then started messing in Donbas. Then they thought “what the hell, these guys’ armed forces are nothing compared to ours, let’s just go for it!” and made the same stupid mistake most imperialists make, the same mistake the US seems poised to commit with Iran.

Good.

A music collection on your harddive is a joy for you personally for ever
As long as you take care of backups

I use Navidrome and scrobble to ListenBrainz and Last.fm for suggestions. I’ve recently learnt about Sonobarr but haven’t tried it yet.
It’s not as seamless as playing a song/artist station on spotify or just letting it decide what to continue with at the end of a playlist, but it’s also free (in both ways!).

The complaint about the one I have on my work ZBook is that removing the cable is more fiddly
So, turn them into ECM?
