I use Niagara Launcher, the paid pro variant, it has lots of icon customization and you can put a widget on the home screen. It expends also a Mediaplayer if playback is detected. You can have a pinned list of applications and can swipe to see all of your non-hidden apps, also as a list.
I’m also a sucker for List Launcher, it’s just so much cleaner than grids.
Well they had to use Windows as OS/2 wasn’t available/viable anymore.
That reads easy but what’s with installing all packages that were added to a repo? How does that help anything?
Gentoo, LFS, Slackware.
find the traitor and kill him!
When the GUI fails, Terminal will have your back; can I get an Amen?
Well as I don’t have a dock in Niagara Pro I just go on with the apps I pinned:
Telephone, standard dailer from android : ✔️
WhatsApp, eeeeh: ❌ ❌ ❌
Discord: ❌
Firefox: ✔️
Proton Mail: well not FOSS (at least the paid tiers) but OSS
Proton Calendar: same thing
Jerboa: ✔️
Tusky: ✔️
Grayjay: I guess yeah to both (with license) ✔️
M.A.L.P: check and check ✔️

I hate how english handles those suffixes (ly, ing, able) after a vowel; do you omit the vowel, do you just plug the suffix onto the word?
Temba, their hands open.
well, users of atomic distros that can’t do that and have to rely on containerized applications e.g. via flatpak (appimage, … that other one …)
Well you gotta give your VM a little more juice than just one CPU core and 4 MB of RAM :)
Yeah, but it’s nice to just be able to use your windows software without needing to bootup windows, and then after you’ve finished reboot into linux.
Have you tried a virtual machine?
It only ever exists as a VM, and I boot it up rarely as it deserves this purgatory.
you mean this one?
have you disabled the Statusbar? Try Restoring Defaults in Configure Dolphin
nice, then this software makes sense.
GNOME has Boxes and now KDE has Kartons. Nice.
