Yeah, lol. One of the reasons my next laptop will be one intended with linux support for the start.
Average torrenting enjoyer.

Hmm, I dont know. From my interactions with him (i have opened 4/5 issues on his github) he seemed like a pretty helpful guy in my opinion (but maybe i’m biased because he added features I requested, haha). Anyway, maybe he had a shitty day? Not that I find normal to act that way, but I understand. Vaxry is still a kid, and kids do mistakes
really? seemed a pretty decent guy tbh
and thats being optimistic about it…
I’ve been running arch for like 3 years now. Why arch? Because it just works (and its the only one i have esperience with). Maybe ill try nixos one day.
I did reboot several times during my first try… Idk… Now it works, but its still a mistery why…
Yeah, cups is truly amazing. Dont know about your issue with usbs drives tho; sorry…
I have a ds640 (an usb scanner), and I’ve spent maybe 2 hours installing&reinstalling&removing drivers from the aur. Nothing worked. Installed Fedora just to see if things worked over there (as fedora is officially supported by brother) and things worked perfectly. Then i booted on my arch install arch once again, AND EVERYTHING WORKED. Alleluia. But I still don’t know why, as I didn’t touch nothing between last time i tried and now. Idk.
Idk how is it with brother printers, but brother scanners are an absolute PITA to make work on Arch
Just switched to fedora after 4 years of archi. LUKS broke, the h264/h265 aren’t there, and it has redhat’s repo of flatpak selectioned by default rather than flathub. But hey, at least printers work OOTB!
My guess as an on-field technician is that this is going to take at least a week to resolve. As you probably know, it’s an easy fix; the difficult part is going to every single store to actually do the procedure. Today I worked on 30-35 PCs, and most of my time was spent going from location to location. There’s the tour de France so it’s very time consuming. Anyway, yeah, at least a week.
Zen Browser on pc, and Fulguris on android.
