Op, This is the best answer. I’ve set up a Windows server using this method. I was blown away by how easy proxmox makes the whole thing.
I use rust desk too btw when I need to remote on for maintenance, etc.

Both valheim and project zomboid can be had fire less than $20 each. That leaves some cash left over for a couple dollar games that look interesting.
Both games are amazingly fun and you can get a self hosted server set up for fun with friends… If you have another computer available.

I got a friendly elec nanopi r3 that I use as a router. It routes all my Ethernet connected devices, and my consumer mesh network does all WiFi connections.
It’s basically a raspberry pi, but they do use their own flavor of os, so I just run it using a fresh image on an SD card. Works no problem and power consumption is minimal.

I was never banned, but they banned the app I used and their own app is hot garbage. If I need to Google something, I’ll still use Reddit, otherwise I’m off it completely.

Hell ya. I’m glad you feel really proud about that. I’ve lead so many garbage trainings, it makes the great ones really stand out!

I never understood this

Literally just use one of those toothpick flosser things. The end is usually a plastic pick, which is perfect.

I say, I don’t pay for Netflix, but I’m able to stream whatever I want. I do the same with books. And audiobooks.

Ha! I didn’t even realize proxmox was Debian based. Thanks!

Does that TLP work with proxmox? I was thinking about trying pm with an old Dell latitude I have, but I’m worried about the battery exploding.

Honestly same, except I’ve been using jelly fin for about a year. Even with me having a Plex pass, I’m not using it.
I did the same, wrote in the letter for them to suck my balls… They called me back lol

Some truths cut too deep
Bg3 mostly. It’s a copy from dodi too… Which requires 4 additional updates to be current lol
I’m sure I could have figured it out, but would have just taken time.
I was trying or Linux for gaming… But I found using mods too difficult or annoying and switched back to Windows. That’s only for my gaming machine though…I use a Linux laptop for everything else
I got the color one for my daughter who can’t stop reading manga, and we have no more shelves to put physical books. Calibre want super intuitive, and I edited the series name, but the kobo still didn’t group things correctly, but it got sorted. Over all a high recommend

How often do you get new drives? I’ve been through 2 drives that store all my data since the last 15 or so years. I’m wanting to get a nas together now though but I’ve no server experience.

I super appreciate the comment, as I’ve had the same issue and didn’t know how to deal with it without a full reboot. If there an equivalent command in Linux for what control Alt delete does in Windows?
Wait, steam os is arch based?
