An OS that has objectively less functionality, less stability and less battery life (probably less security, too) than what’s available via libre(-ish) alternatives doesn’t strike me as something anyone would want to have, at least while these alternatives still receive relevant feature and security updates.
If Nura is ever able to close this gap, that changes of course. For now I don’t see the appeal.

On a 10 year old phone that can’t/shouldn’t be used for anything else that’s different, however. I’m glad to get a use out of that phone with Nura if the alternative is for it to be e-waste.

So, a phone that’s still well in the support window of the original vendor plus probably years more via LineageOS. I don’t see a ton of value in postmarketOS on the FP6.

I like Proxmox for it’s first-class treatment of ZFS. You can easily run Docker/Podman on top of it or in a VM. Proxmox has some other advantages like replication and clustering, but I’d say you don’t need that in a home setup (at least I don’t).

If I had to redo my setup today, I’d probably give TrueNAS SCALE a chance though.

AFAIK streaming from Linux isn’t supported yet.

What I really want is NixOS, but with the Debian package repository.
