Is switching to linux now a now type of Picard maneuver?
i will follow your career with great interest (i clicked on the link and checked if you are indeed the original creator and i like your content)
Another casino he is going to ruin
and the usa got a deadly plague death (last one was 2007)
But lemmy cant be controlled like a company
Maybe it gets smaller because people switch to piefed or something but i dont see how lemmy can enshitify the way corpo platforms can
milky way (when i remembered it right) the scientific name
have to go now, hope someone who is informed can agree/disagree here
Thank you for the explaination ^^
Thank you a lot.
The funny words have a useful meaning :D
What do the funny words mean? (i understand neither 700 & 077)
I dont use attribution normally but at some level of quality there should be one.
But its definetly a very good indicator to take a closer look when there is no attribution or it “looks woird”
Earlier i made a bad 5 minute ms paint draving:
has an 85+% while the original had about 66% (before it was taken down because it broke a no ai rule)
So at least in that metric doing some low effort painting, even while pointing out its copied content, has way better metrics
so yea: dont do it with ai slop
op is probably also loosing some time on us commenters disliking the slop that could have been invested into a scetch on paper
long line (only 1 cashier?)
did not test that but here is a page how to “google” the “de-googled” os for supporting that
https://doc.e.foundation/support-topics/android-auto
because of that lineage could be a better option
About Fairphone: there is an alternative (Shiftphone) that is more expensive but with the main plus points of having a higher storage option and the mainboard is replaceable, they also have somewhere a cheap (~200€) phone that should work if you really just need a phone
(i mention that as an option, because having choice is always better even if it ends up being the first thing that gets choosen)
I use e/os which is at least de-googled & based on Lineage
Its not exactly Graphene but it works on 8+ old devices of various manifacturers
Early Netflix proved it too and are currently showing us what happens when the service gets worse
My second computer broke ;.;
Felt that too. Its throwing all providers in one bucket which makes it very hard to judge
“what made it interesting was that it was planned support miltiple UIs”
you may are interested into looking into the various LemmyUIs or Lemmy close alternatives like piefed when you like to test out frontends to see their quirks
Ive personally had a surface and i think mint and ubunto did absolutely not work to install. (7Pro)
But arch worked (some kind nerds in the area helped me install it) and at least to me it was surprisingly easy
But you probably should use a backup in case you manage to break arch
