Get someone’s old junker with a good transmission, rip out the gas motor and strap in an electric and some batteries.
Why the good transmission? Most EVs run a single speed transmission, so there’s no need to keep the old 5/6 speed ICE one.

Has anyone else made this work with home assistant yet? I’d love a guide, and if it doesn’t exist yet; hopefully I’ll have one by the end of the week.
I track my bikes and ebikes on lubelogger. It’s not an optimal solution, but it tracks everything I need it too.
There’s a backup button in the settings that creates a .db file.
I’d recommend migrating one service at a time (install, migrate, shake down; next service).
Either prioritize what you want declouded the most, or start with the smallest migration and snowball bigger.
When I lived in Montréal, I found the social services were very strong in my neighborhood (medical, libraries, transit, daycare, schools, parks, etc).
I attribute this to all stratas of income using the same services. My comparison of Ontario had different income levels using different services, which led to quality differences between those services.
One of the communes I lived at had a rooftop garden, & we had tons of issues with leaks and just the sheer weight of all that dirt and plant material on the structure.
In Montréal we have several large scale rooftop greenhouses built on top of warehouses. I’m guessing the warehouse construction is probably overbuilt to support the weight, but there haven’t been and major issues yet.
It might not be solarpunk, but it’s solarpunk wearing a tie at it’s day job to find it’s dreams. And their tomatoes are fucking delicious.

In all seriousness, homarr now has some fledgling home assistant integration, and I saw a really slick showcase in the discord where someone was using home assistant pages in iframes (mobile view) within a overall homarr page (desktop view).
