Are you putting down the money or what?
Are you putting down the money or what?
You realize the only reason it doesn’t happen in your computer is because it already happened by then, right? They trained the model already so your computer doesn’t need all the energy. But the training did happen, and continues to happen, on stolen art, and you benefit from every time they update the software.
Except you actually like this use, so you do the mental gymnastics to pretend it is not the same.
Funny how AI is only the Devil if it’s use don’t things or people you don’t like.
Useful? No. Profitable? No. Fun? For some people. That’s why they do it.
1m is nothing for Microsoft though…
Windows lmao
Sure. The incel pipeline is not my business tbh.

The problem is people don’t put their money where their mouth is. Even less in the scale needed to produce a product of the quality te average person expects. You see this again and again. It’s very nice to think it works, but it doesn’t. A random guy saying “actchually I donated 1 Monero” doesn’t mean a project is financially sustainable.
This is what people don’t realize. If you want something good, you have to pay people for their time and talent. Free products that are free because of ideology are just exploitation with extra steps.
Yes. This is why people put stickers.
If it takes away the privacy, why do it at all?
I see what you’re saying. I guess I’m a bit biased from having had a conversation in the previous days with someone whose idea of “helping” a dev was hounding them with complaints, telling them how to do their job and them blasting them on social media when they answered with a ban.
I guess we agree that it’s up to each dev to clarify what kind of support, if any, they are looking for.
You don’t think money is encouraging? You can also hire people with that money, instead of volunteeras. Idk what devs you’ve been listening to, but I haven’t hear anyone who actively refuses donations or tips for their project.
My point is, if you appreciate someone, put your money where your words are. Anyone can get “encouragement” for free.
Volunteering is good too, I guess, but in general I don’t think people should work for free. At all.
With money? Yeah. Otherwise, don’t bother.
That’s why it’s… The way it is lmao
Lol imagine thinking people read. You need a communist manifesto in language-agnostic manga version.
Kinda cringe ngl. Makes it sound you joined a crypto scheme.
Idk what a socialist game is. But if you like city builders Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is a cool city builder. Where it actually makes sense to have an disembodied force directing city building as that’s how planned economies work anyways.
This is some cartoon-villain type unhinged behavior.
