Admittedly, season three is better, though.

I can’t really comment on this as I didn’t watch DS9 (not my cup of tea). I mainly just like TOS, TNG, and the first ten movies.

Just skip to season three.

It’s a comedy and doesn’t fit the tone of Star Trek. It’s goofy and makes fun of a franchise I take very seriously.

I don’t consider “fan service” to be a pejorative.

Season Three was everything I wanted from a Star Trek series. All other Star Trek content from the past twenty years is just not for me.
