That sounds like it would be useful. I’ll check it out. Thanks for the tip!
I had to look up a guide for how to manually partition the drive, but it’s working! And it didn’t affect my other drives. Thanks.
Thanks! Thats very helpful. I wasn’t aware that software existed.

:(

How’s the Linux support? I’m having an issue of finding a platform that works properly with Linux, especially screen sharing. For some reason, audio does not work in screen sharing on Linux with discord or Root.

So much for critical thinking skills…
Building a PC right now is not the best idea, RAM and storage prices have increased a lot (in the US) anyway. And I agree with the comment that pretty built aren’t the best option either. My friends who have got pre Built’s have both had issues with them. Alternatively, steam just announced their new steam machine which will be based on their steam OS and I believe will have a normal linux desktop environment like the steam deck does. As for distro, I use and recommend linux mint. It’s designed very similar to windows and you don’t need to access the terminal as often as some other distros. I have an Nvidia 4070 and it works perfectly fine with mint.

Grayjay is still working for me

I felt like I needed more pre-requisite understanding and knowledge when setting it up. I was able to get the web app working but had no idea on how to setup the mobile app. And the images I uploaded didn’t go to the folder I specified… I have no idea about the other steps you mentioned lol

Dodi repacks tend to work better on Linux than fitgirl. Another option is to create a portable windows to go drive, use that to unpack the game then copy the files to your Linux drive.

I feel your pain… I recently tried very diligently to install Immich with docker after reading and watching several tutorials that claim it takea 5 minutes and its super easy… Failed… Like 5 times…
For some advice, I use heroic game launcher to install non steam games. Bottles kind of sucks IMO.

Its helpful to know that nvidia can work well with Linux.

My 4070 ti has worked flawlessly with Linux mint
I guess I take that back, there was 1 time that I did mess up fstab and had to boot live and fix it. But that wasn’t too bad.
I’ve been using linux since last December and I haven’t majorly broken anything. Am I doing Linux wrong?
I had issues with mints install a while back. Turns out that it was my flash drive failing during the install. I used a newer one with bigger capacity and it worked fine. Not sure if tried a different USB but it’s worth a shot.
EDIT: based on your comments you probably have a different issue. But this might help someone else.
That’s very helpful, thanks!
The Amazon page explicitly says it’s not compatible with Linux. That’s confusing
We can’t have anything anymore huh…
