In Berlin for eg its tough to get tap water. You ask for it and get it 20mins later after a 2nd request. It’s more see as a task for something that customer wants but is not directly tied to making income.
(I don’t want a yes but reply). Just a comment.
Yes in SSH terminal,
Yes in vscode,
Yes because I use TUIs that use all the same bindings and they’re great one you get the vocab.
Yes as Hyprland bindings, k9s, etc etc etc etc

I’m convinced it’s just spyware that makes it so slow… Cos you just cannot have it so poor as it is.
I thought it was an old install that made it slow, that was Monday, I got a new image for work and was like hey, this is nice, not too bad. Windows is good again…
and I finished work Friday and fuck it was terrible again, already. Absolutely unbelievable.
I’m on a thinkpad t480s from 2018 (i5, 16gb) with nixos and then a i9,32gb dell 5570 for work and its just bad bad bad. Embarrassing
Loved them all. What’s next?
Its not FOSS but it works great on Linux in the browser… OnShape

Thank you for the reply. I will dig around there.

What do they use for the fingerprint login, I have something working on my t480s but I think it’s python and not exactly fast to login… Maybe something in Rust or Framework is using some other libraries? Foss?

That annas archive Spotify dump plus streamio would go a long way.

Its not debt… Nothing was deferred.

So did we make it to “codebase drag” yet?
Something that isn’t debt but is a headwind to making changes.

I see that as too idealist. When the rubber hits the road you cant spoon feed every newcomer with 100x docs per 1x code, so it’s inevitably going to be difficult for some to approach.
So now cos it’s hard for somebody you assume there is debt?.. It can’t be infinitely easy.

Whilst true, I was not talking about maintenance…
Rather “getting started in” ie onboarding.

Not sure. Something can be written fine and technically good but it’s difficult to get started in… Its a headwind… Ie drag.
I don’t see that as debt?

In your CI which one do you use? I also use SOPS for my own, but it’s overhead… So wondering which you settled on?
Do K9 or thunderbird mail on Android do this? (even if you use gmail as backend?)
