I’ve had nose surgery and spent most of my week recovering at my parents house. I’m very thankful that I could just go there without having to fear being constantly misgendered or dead named or anything and instead just being cared for. The hospital and my doctor had also quickly adapted to my recent legal name change and everything went smooth there to.

The last confirmations from various places regarding my name change keep trickling in which is nice.

My nose still hurts but overall I’m doing pretty well.

• a lot of people are more open minded and supporting than you would think
• some people who you think are open minded and supportive actually aren’t
• you are never truly alone, there are always people who are in a similar situation than yourself and banding together can help so much
• that my family is absolutely amazing and I’m truly blessed to have them

It was my first full week of living as myself full time and it’s starting to feel normal now. No more being stressed about how I want to present when I go outside, just being me. So pretty great here :)
