2 months agoDespite Georgia being a sun-soaked state and the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) being less for solar (and wind) than gas turbines, these assholes will be adding double the amount of natural gas generation (https://www.georgiapower.com/about/energy/plants.html) than is still deployed in Georgia. I don’t know how you can get more dystopian than that, but hey, it’s the United States, which has a buffoon for a leader and no plans to stop global warming — “drill baby drill”.
Yeah, I gave up on Raspberry Pi when they prioritized volume commercial customers over long tail users like me that needed just one.
The real question is “what’s next?” The niche is “a single board computer for hobby or technical experimentation”. So:
I’m thinking it will be RISC-V and not based on proprietary System on a Chip (SoC) technology.
I’m keen to learn what readers think it will be.
Change my mind.
