What happened in 2022?
“I can’t handle typing like this anymore” and “I like pickles” are two sentences I could make out of the blurry text
As someone who is confused when he has to deal with a .deb file and always has to google what to do with it - what is the advantage of a .deb over let’s say a shell script?
Not OC - I read a recommendation of 20GB on reddit, only to get to the limit very fast and repartition. From my experience, 40GB is the magic number.
I often played with the thought of buying a fair phone, but in the end it’s just too expensive for me. I usually buy used devices for about 150€ from eBay and flash a custom ROM to get rid of google. If I can use that phone for 3 years I am happy. This way I am doing something for the environment and do not support mining of critical minerals in Congo etc.
But yeah, apart from Fair phone almost all devices are very, very hard to repair on purpose, and you need a lot of tools and a but of luck ;)
I just changed the USB port of my Motorola because it was broken AF. I always had to tweak around for 5 minutes to get the cable stable enough for loading, it sucked. I bought the spare part for 17,90€ on eBay. It was a struggle removing the back cover, but now I have a mobile for another 2 years!
I got one on my work laptop this week. It’s controlled by a shitty management software that is used by our IT, but still.
What’s a “FOCK”?

It makes no sense to discuss here. They probably follow Russia’s narrative of Europe being a puppet of the US.

Ii admit it didn’t work out of the box on Mint as well, but didn’t take more then 10 minutes of tweaking. But yes, I would not call it “Linux-friendly”.
Interesting, I have no problems with a Pixma TS8350. Printing is working as shitty as it has always been on Windows. I have yet to configure the scanner to be fair.
I get these vibes too, their other comment are in the same style.
True, but that’s because the Google ecosystem is much more than Geo data. I agree typing that into OSM search won’t have any effect, but with OSMand for example I can filter search results for glutenfree and it works (if the restaurants have that specific key). Less comfortable, but not impossible. Much more ‘problematic’ IMO is OSM missing the possibility to rate places and add photos of meals and menus.
It’s almost the same speed on my device which has much lower hardware specs. You can open an issue on github, or look if it is already mentioned in one of the other 3,000 (!) open issues.
If you find a way to do this, it would be cool if you can share it!
To be honest, I absolutely agree with them. I read the whole article and I do not see what is wrong with these statements? Russia is flooding the web with disinformation, we need to do something against that. Fuck the conservatives, Fuck Russia in particular, Slava Ukraini!
