Welp, can’t argue with that
Exactly
I use blank key caps, and I find it leads to much more comfortable touch typing.
Slower, sure, but cozier also
Another great reason to use a custom, constantly shifting keyboard layout
In my personal experience, yes. There are so many jobs that exist around the Linux ecosystem, being comfortable with concepts like piping, file permissions, scripting, git, etc, will invariably give you a leg up.
Lol been there, and with the -R
too
Yes I’m starting to realise that with layers one need never leave to home row at all.
I haven’t even messed with mouse macros, which I’m hopeful will reduce my need to leave the keeb even moreso
Just kind of pondering my key combinations in tmux, vim, etc. I’ve started using “layers” and “combo keys” in my keyboard layout and it’s really showing me what’s possible
There’s a web version, too. I haven’t played around with it much, but it looks like you can at least comment or mark resolved other people’s contributions
EDIT oh here’s a better comment re iOS: https://feddit.de/comment/11148500
Currently reading Cloud Atlas and these comments accompany it pretty well
The means of production benefiting the workers directly? How did this happen in USA??
But sounds very nice
That’s fair. I got turned on to Linux in college so this is how I feel when confronted with Windows or Mac devices. I just get so frustrated every time I try, and it doesn’t seem like the end result is worth it if I can just stick with what works and not have to worry about some random update radically and inexorably altering how my computer works.
