You can do either. I did add it to a stock Debian image because the image they provide didn’t work for me on several devices.
Install Debian 11. Manage it with Yunohost. It gives you a GUI and automates most of the configuration.
Wasnt talking about Windows. Just saying most launchers work fine on Linux (at least, as well as they do on Windows).
The problem is not the OS, its the existence of unnecessary launchers in the first place, as well the poor general functionality.
Its just another place for them to serve you ads and inject DRM.
Would be cool if they all got together and funded indepedent non-profit development of a cross-platform launcher with store/friends/servers, etc.
Until then I’ll stick with Steam + HGL and nothing else.
The Linux part usually is not a problem.
Photon is incredible.
I didn’t say I was good at it. I’ve used various GUIs that simplify things a bit (Yunohost, CasaOS, ZimaOS, Runtipi, Unraid, TrueNAS, etc. but they all seem to be missing different things that each other have. Yunohost makes things as simple as possible.
I’ve worked in auto repair and real estate. Have no professional experience.
Why self-host? Because its cool. And for privacy. And save a few bucks on subscriptions.
It doesn’t matter if you’re influenced or not.
Google makes a lot more money from your data than they do from these phones.
usually used or refurbished devices are from ppl who would have bought it anyway
You don’t think resale value affects purchasing choices at all?
Seriously, lots of employees depend on VPNs to access their work computers. VPNs are also a great way to ensure the hotel isn’t snooping your internet traffic.
Actually Obtainium is mentioned
I meant the post from OM.
this is the first time I hear about Accrescent: is it this App store?
yes, thats the one. It’s relatively new, and the new default app store in GrapheneOS.
This person was claiming in another thread that Americans would never vote for a black woman
I am not a fan of the ublue distros. Add a lot of complication, and causes me problems.
You can also install via Accrescent or Obtainium. It’s a shame none of these options were mentioned in the OP.
Printing and also scanning. The Gnome scanning tool is like, so much easier and more intuitive than any of the other BS software I used on Windows, and I don’t have to install proprietary spyware.
That’s why I asked how many drives they needed. The one in question can support up to 4 NVMe drives and 2 SATA drives simultaneously.
This one comes in i3 as well.
Can’t imagine most people actually need 10 gbit, and that’s a large additional expense.
