I discovered if you go down the rabbit hole of nix you can install and use anything you want through nix and it just installs works and is permanent unlike someways of using pacman

Did you enable all the hyprland NVIDIA tweaks im running a 3070 on nix hypr and had issues but after setting all the nvidia tweaks and env variables I’ve had no issue with vsync and playing games with bad input lag and I play competitive shooters so I can tell

Everything basically cause you are formatting the drive app configs can be transferred if you back them up but any apps have to be reinstalled systemd reconfigured etc

If you do try again try lmde (Linux mint Debian edition) you should have less issues Ubuntu has weird permission issues that I’ve ran into before

I’ve ran basically your exact setup for years now with no issues have a mini pc with dual nic running opnsense a eap640( I think can’t remember off top my head ) and a tplink switch with minimal issues have to restart the ap once in a while and restart my mini pc but that’s due to a failing nic I’m pretty sure

I may be wrong here but the tp link issues were in the more consumer based hardware and not the eap and switch

Have you tried antimicrox I don’t have experience with that mouse in particular but it has worked for other mice

I haven’t had any issues running modded games but if I do normally only mod unity games

None of my keyboards do and I don’t use qwerty so it’s also funny when someone else tries to use my PC and fails miserably

Not anymore then arch imo unstable is just rolling release compared to the specific versions which are more like fedora or similar

That’s exactly how nixos went for me you feel like you understand it and then went to go and look at old configs after awhile and was like what in the fuck and rewrote the whole thing but once you figure it out it’s pretty easy to keep learning
