I can’t run git operations on the server.
I can’t run git operations on the server.
I’ve been considering rsync
I need to run git operations from a laptop (on a vpn) but I can’t build from the laptop, I can only build from a host that is only accessible on the vpn.
So I can only git pull / git push from the laptop, but I can only build / run / test from a remote host.
Linux on both sides. What’s the best solution here?

They seem to be blocking access from certain IPs and VPNs (if not logged in?) Which is funny because some of these VPNs are not really hiding anything. Like my work VPN which I would think makes it pretty obvious which company I work for. Annoying when search results link to reddit content.
This image has been floating around Lemmy for the past week or so. One of them appears to have an original timestamp/watermark from like 1998.
Is that really a Mac though? Looks like a pc running a Netscape browser and some AOL garbage.

Idaho is starting a registry for at-risk men with erections, to prevent impure thoughts. You need to send a picture of your dick, where it will be validated by an evangelical priest.

Wouldn’t tails be just as trackable as say a browser that clears all its cookies?
Can you run WSL or whatever it’s called? I se to remember some coworkers getting a Linux shell on windows. Of course that still leaves you with the shitty windows UI.
Oh buddy they’re wiping your laptop that sucks. Figured you were talking like servers and stuff (which is still bad.) if it’s company issued you don’t have a choice, but do they allow personal hardware to be connected? If so I’d just go buy my own thinkpad.

Meanwhile, Mike Pence still hanging around on Facebook.
Whatever happened to that guy anyway?

What is this “dating”?
I use Ubuntu, even people on Lemmy won’t talk to me.
I’m just kidding. I use arch btw. I’m recompiling my wifi drivers on my Commodore 64, so I can play Jumpman please help me
Directed by JJ Abrams.
I have to wonder if anyone at Microsoft is paying attention. It’s like New Coke in the 80s. They quickly realized they fucked up and rebranded the original as Classic Coke. I’m wondering if there will be a Windows Classic coming out soon with no AI, no subscription, no forced cloud dependency bullshit. lol probably not but whatever.
Keeping with the soft drink analogy, I think Pepsi tried something similar in the 90s with Crystal Pepsi, which also failed miserably.
If “lime must go up” always, then they need to come up with a better way than product enshitification.
But LibreOffice has supported docx for years now, right?
LibreOffice supports .odt and .doc and .docx and a ton of other formats though.
LibreOffice (and its predecessor OpenOffice) have been a solid FOSS and *nix alternative for like over two decades. So I’m a bit confused about what these other alternatives provide that LibreOffice lacks.
What was it you would fallback to use Office for that you couldn’t do on Linux?
It authenticates with a yubikey.
