That was a big concern when TPMs first started appearing. I’m glad that that didn’t go the way it might’ve. Yet.

A catapult on every rooftop!

Yeah, I don’t get it either, why am I supposed to connect with the city? I’m playing a violent criminal in a goofy, arcade-y top-down action game. Setting was perfect.
What I absolutely couldn’t connect with is GTA 5: The mechanics are stale, the game doesn’t respect my time and Michael and especially Trevor are just nasty, unpleasant pieces of shit. Zero enthusiasm for GTA 6 from me, it’s just going to have all the same flaws as any GTA since 3 and will surely be more tailored towards online money extraction schemes.
Meanwhile Cyberpunk 2077, with a somewhat similar dystopian setting, has become my favorite game in large parts because of the characters.
“Ska is what a 13 year old hears in their head when they are told they are getting free mozzarella sticks.”
I always think of this song by 7 seconds of love when I read that. Pretty much sums it up.
Explanation: The guy on the right is Linus Sebastian, a tech youtuber running a fairly large media company. I’d characterize their output as being a mixture of news, reviews and Top Gear style fucking around with tech.
A couple weeks ago he sent Linus Torvalds an e-mail, asking him if he’d like to do some sort of collaboration - mainly because of the name and because he’s a personal hero of his. Torvalds quickly responded, telling him that it would have to be a “there can only be one” type situation, like in Highlander or Mad Max.
So they shot something where they most are just chatting while building a computer together but did the bit for the intro. The video is not released yet.

You could try Tuxedo OS. It’s stable Ubuntu minus Snap plus newer KDE packages by a small Linux system retailer. Been using it for about a year now on my work laptop and it’s perfectly adequate.
Etcher seems stable! But it’s also a well over 100 MB download for a disk image writer. Rufus does more in less than 1% of the download size and also has a GUI.
If you like Arch you might like Void, it has roughly similar ideals and a very fast package manager. No AUR equivalent though.
Hexbear user spotted (or at least that’s what my first impression is with the weird image)
Heck no, that’s just an ancient meme to indicate it’s just banter/harmless trolling, not an attempt at serious discourse.
Windows isn’t controversial since everyone has adopted it. No one is making you use it but keep in mind you are a very small minority.

I’m about 2 decades in too, really not here to argue since everything has already been said multiple times. I do see systemd in a somewhat similar light as Pulseaudio. Yes, some good ideas there and it’s a useful tool, but it wasn’t the be-all end-all solution.
Their FAQ says that they haven’t tested this with KVM switches but that it should work. PiKVM doesn’t always work well with switches, hoping this will be better. Because off-the-shelf IPKVM switches all seem rubbish, overpriced or both.

The reason I replied is because of the “submissions” part. They aren’t doing that, everyone can still submit code that might get accepted. What they did was remove some of the people in charge of deciding what gets accepted from the team.

They removed maintainers that work for Russian corporations, they are not blocking submissions from any Russian citizen.
Yup, the way he acted towards the founders of Tesla when he bought their company shows that dude’s had issues for a looong time.
