No. I am describing a global system that goes beyond state.

When I was younger, I once imagined a universal court which would be above all supreme courts, but without any government backing or any force to enforce.

The sole criteria it would have is that the case before it has been studied by supreme court of any nation, and ruled in violation the principle this court observes. This court would then study the case and then rule punishment to the accused AND penalty to the erring judge of the supreme court. The enforcement of its will shall happen in the good old American way of bounties and bounty hunting.

It was quite detailed, but the relevant crux here is that enforcing justice doesn’t need dedicated manpower or government backing.

However, a specified court/judiciary is definitely required for a legal recognition.

I usually work with MS formats on LO (only because they need smaller space for small files, in larger files, MS formats are objectively bulkier). My observation is that MS messes with formatting of files made on LO, no matter which format you pick… even with whitespace of otherwise plain unfomatted text at times.

It is definitely a MS issue, and it is not about formats they have made public.

Also I’d say start with the “easier” ones, for instance anti-capitalist people are more open to find ways to avoid surveillance capitalism. If enough of these people care and educate their respective circles, eventually all people will care.

And pro-capitalism people should simply avoid being under surveillance of someone who can potentially help their competition with targetted info about them.

Framing “them” as fundamentally different reinforces the mental barrier that your requirements and their requirements are different. Avoid it.

I had dual booted Ubuntu with Windows when I was in college, without having any prior exposure to Linux or any skill in coding or even scripting. The install itself was incredibly easy and I was wondering why more kids don’t do it. All the core functions that a computer was supposed to, Ubuntu was doing it better than Windows save one - running windows specific software.

I guess Linux was good enough for education back then itself, but it ddn’t run fancy games and I could not convince anyone else to dual boot their PC.

This is only for Thinkpads which are offered as customized units and have a longer shipping time.

I am surprised that Thinkpad isn’t the top recommendation. It is pricey, but built to last even after multiple hardware upgradations.
