Do you think Supergirl would fall in love with a plumber? No, he would have to be intelligent. I would have him be a fighter pilot before he became a bounty hunter. A fighter pilot who quickly rose in rank because of his skill.
But Supergirl is female.
I think it will make over 100 million dollars although with romance it would have made more. Milly Alcock is pretty. She will draw viewers. Playing old songs in the movie is strange.
It’s not necessary to follow the comic book exactly. Most people who see the movie probably would have never read the comic book. The purpose is to make a movie that people like not follow the comic book. Lobo could be changed into the type of person Supergirl would fall in love with. The romance would attract female viewers. I would have Lobo persuade Kara to stop drinking to escape her memories of Kryton. I would also make them younger, Kara 18 years old and Lobo 21.
He makes sense as a muscular person. I liked him has Conan the Barbarian, but pretty Milly Alcock needs a love interest. Consequently, Lobo should be a young, attractive guy. Supergirl cannot just be fighting. There is the friendship between Kara and Ruthye Marye Knoll, but it would be better to have romance too.
Instead of Lobo being played by Jason Momoa, I would have had him played by a young, attractive guy that becomes Supergirl’s love interest. Milly Alcock is a pretty girl, viewers especially female would love to see her in a romantic relationship.

The reason is that the movies nominated for best picture weren’t popular. Avatar: Fire and Ash, Jurassic World: Rebirth, and F1: The Movie weren’t nominated. Last year, two popular movies were nominated, Dune: Part 2 and Wicked.

Sad art. Perhaps the artists are sad, and they want the audience to feel their sadness. If an artist is happy, wouldn’t he want others to feel that joy?

Quite true but I prefer that the story be about the romance between Paul, a person who doesn’t want to be a leader but has to in order to avenge his family and free the Fremen and Chani, the girl of his dreams who initially doesn’t like him but begins to love him when she sees his courage. Instead of Paul becoming evil, the story should revolve around Paul and his love for Chani. The end of the story should be Arrakis belonging to the Fremen and the rains returning. The rains could have stopped because invaders changed the weather in order to mine the spice.

She opposed him leading the Fremen to war against other houses. She wanted him to just free Arrakis.

In the trailer, Peter Parker said that something bad was going to happen and the only way to stop it was to make everyone forget him. Incorrect, Dr. Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home should have made everyone forget that Peter Parker was Spider-Man not that Peter Parker existed. Marvel simply wanted to break up Peter and MJ. I hope that in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, they are brought back together. A movie cannot be just fighting. The appeal of Spider-Man with Tom Holland is the romance between Peter and MJ and the friendship between Peter and Ned. Spider-Man: Far From Home was an excellent balance between fighting and romance/friendship. The trailer features MJ often which is a hopeful sign that Peter and MJ will be brought back together. However, Marvel could be doing this to capitalize on the popularity of Zendaya. But this will show the stupidity of Marvel if it breaks them up although realizing that Zendaya is popular and that fans like Tom Holland and Zendaya as a couple.

I read that Frank Herbert wrote Messiah to counter the impression that Paul was a hero. He wanted to show what happens when people fanatically follow someone. But there is already an example in Adolf Hitler. Messiah was not as popular as Dune perhaps because it’s dark. The purpose of a movie is to make money, not to strictly follow a book. Most of the audience for Dune Part 3 will have never read Dune or Messiah. We will have to see how well Dune Part 3 performs against other 2026 movies. It will have a lot of competition, Avengers: Doomsday, Odyssey, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day to name a few.

People already have a lesson from following personality cults in Adolf Hitler. No, life isn’t all happiness. That’s the reason movies should be an escape from unhappiness. Through Paul and Chani viewers can feel romantic love, a love which they perhaps do not have in real life.
But viewers knew that there would be a sequel to The Empire Strikes Back and the sequel, Return of the Jedi did have a happy ending. However, Dune Part 3 is the last of the trilogy. Note that the final Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-Man: No Way Home was sad. Why this love of dark endings?

You’re probably right but hopefully not. In the book, Chani just follows Paul but, in Dune Part 2 she leaves him. Perhaps Denis will bring the two back together in Dune Part 3.

It shouldn’t. I never read the book, Messiah, but I read that its dark. That could be the reason it was not as popular as Dune. I hope Dune Part 3 has a happy ending. Why should viewers leave the theater sad especially when the movie debuts close to Christmas?

In Dune Part 2, Chani leaves Paul. I hope Denis brings them back together in Part 3. It’s so sad to see two people fall in love and break up. They are such a cute couple. The movie should have a happy ending.
Tom Cruise is getting old. Although he’s in the movie, he shouldn’t be the star.
