Nix might be a bit overwhelming when his first installation of linux was only a few months ago, I guess :D

isn’t it the other way? Ubuntu/Kubuntu -> Mint -> Arch-based (Manjaro, …), Arch … -> “btw”

There seems to be an alternative for ad-free youtube called TizenTube Cobalt. Gonna try it today. https://github.com/reisxd/TizenTubeCobalt/releases

You could instead deactivate Wifi/Cellular on your phone to remind you not to doomscroll in bed. Cheapest solution I guess.
oh, thx, I missed that news. time to change
Mull for everyday-use or Vanadium for pages which need a chromium-based browser
Audio Engineer here, too.
What he said. Plus: I’ve been using Ardour for years. Then I tried Reaper, “evaluated” for about 3 months, then decided to pay the ~ 70€. You get a licence for the existing and a future release. It feels much more “natural” to me than Ardour.
Had the same problem on arch months ago. You may find it under Mouse/Touchpad settings. “Screen Edges”
Read through it… strange.
That was exactly how I did it some years ago. After 4 or 5 times fixing the X-server after an update (thanks nVidia!) I switched over to Arch. Installed Arch following the Wiki for about 2 hours… failed and started the process of installation again (in about 1.5 hours :P) and succeeded. By failing and trying again I’ve learned a ton. My advise for less frustration: go with Team Red. In my experience AMD graphics cards are much more linux-friendly.

My guess: the mod is sittin there posting memes on his gentoo-machine and laughing his ass of, because someone’s taking his community serious.
Nice to hear that you have found your way to Linux. What helped me a lot to understand Linux and the command line better was trying to install Arch, following the instructions in the wiki, failing at the first attempt and trying again and finding the error.
I guess it’s not the only fan inside the computer? For further investigation one needs a photo of the system, with the settings of other fans.
Just a quick guess: it could pull heated air from your cpu eg., or work against the airflow of other fans in your rig.
