3 days agoI have been thinking that about Baldur’s Gate 1+2 lately. Still great games and BG2 doesn’t even look particularly dated (once you install a widescreen patch anyway). But I can’t imagine that I’d have the patience to figure out the game system nowadays, and in new RPGs I vastly prefer turnbased combat over BG’s ‘real time with pause’.
Advice being right or wrong isn’t necessarily the big issue for online communities (unless most other users are also wrong). What really degrades them is users acting like assholes, and someone who acts like that in a tech community is fairly likely to also do that in a political or relationship community.
