I know. The ones who would do it in response to hardware shortages are mostly already doing it anyway. The ones who don’t, won’t.

Can confirm, I feel old and tired all the time. Not gonna fuck around (in a bad way) with my partner. Unfortunately, I’m also not gonna fuck around much in a good way, because I feel old and tired all the time.
Can’t see either of these happening in the near future, TBH. They just failed to make cloud gaming happen after pouring tons of resources into it, but I also just can’t believe that companies that make severely unoptimized games are going to change their ways.
That said, most gaming is already on phones, and many of the popular multiplayer games are already running fine on very weak hardware.

From what I know about simulator games, they don’t usually simulate asshole customers, and it’s fairly easy to be successful compared to real life. Kinda its own form of stress relief, though I’d assume that the target audience isn’t people who have the simulated job in real life.
IME, that was entirely socially accepted in the early 00s. So it’s less “why are they doing it”, and more “why did they keep it up when society at large has moved on”.
Second-to-last line sounds like she introduces her boyfriend to anon. But anon seems happy about that, so good for them!
Faulty premise. There are lots of series that are pretty close in style that aren’t made in Japan, e.g. https://whatnerd.com/best-non-japanese-anime-series/ (I just searched for “anime not made in japan” and this was one of the first results). There are also many Japanese animation studios who outsource some amount of work to other east-asian countries to save on costs.
And considering that manwha (Korean comics) looks exactly like manga, that’s exactly as expected.

Sleeping with your junk out is kinda like wearing boxers. And I hate wearing boxers - boxer-briefs all the way! I imagine sleeping topless as a woman is kinda similar, depending on her tits’ shape.

If Cursor doesn’t help with that, but you constantly have several devs on “putting out fire”-duty, you have a pretty strong case for taking the time to make the software not be constantly on fire. i.e. it’s probably going to save you time (man-hours) to write some proper code, and time is money.
Not that I expect your superiors to care about that.

Does Cursor actually help with any of that?

Meanwhile me: “Sorry guys, can’t make it tomorrow. Yeah I’ll still be sleeping when the thing starts”. (it’s unavoidable because heavy insomnia)

Do your customers ever complain about your software? If so, what does your team do when it happens? Is this what “something is always on fire” refers to?

I don’t actually live in a country that has mandatory age verification for social media, and AFAIK even the US still doesn’t have it. Discord is doing this because they want the data, not because it’s the law.
Either way, the recent Discord data breaches have proven that they cannot be trusted with this data.

I’d assume that it’s called something different if you only use sugar.
Age is a matter of how debilitating your age-related diseases are. If you’re over 30 and got backpain or bad knees you’re old.
I am old.

Last week I’ve had two important phonecalls that I’ve been putting off for over three months. They weren’t diffcult in any way, which is exactly what I expected. Why am I like this?
As an insomniac, I hate bird noise …
Kinda like how insects got rarer in recent deades. I know that this is symptomatic of a very bad thing, but I sure don’t miss having a lot of insects around.
I felt so smug. Like “Welcome to my world, you assholes! How do you like being forced to live in a world that wasn’t made for people like you?!”. Unfortunately, it mostly did the opposite of teaching them more empathy.
I’ll put it on the pile for things I should do (checking vitamin levels was already there TBH).
There are lots of quite probable other explanations for my low energy levels, though.
