I’m Alireza Alavi, a software engineer by trade.
Script kiddies are like “eww Java”, but this is actually great. If it’s output and runtime are performant and not overly bloated this can be pretty awesome. Bringing the gigantic amount of pre-existing Java software to the browser. I would like to see comparisons with Go’s WASM
What is the required hardware?
what an awesome app
I don’t think the chart has an element of time in it.
that’s actually poetry
(best-syntax? '(lisp clojure))
;; => true
Honestly no.
How do you join a channel? How to start private message? How to setup e2ee? How do I recieve messages when I’m offline (bouncer)? how do I send files/images/video? There’s lots of things to learn, understand and setup
I love IRC but it’s absolutely not usabale for non-tech people
So entanglement and teleportation aren’t practical for this? the max travel speed might be light but the time to process that information and react to it can be reduced. I’m not sure tho. But I strongly remember reading articles about this.
Well yes, not instantaneous instantaneous. But near-instant as far as I know. Much much faster than current speeds.
This was awesome! as a huge FP fan, I hadn’t heard of Roc. It seems pretty amazing. The systems-level FP language. Can we test it against common lisp and haskell also?
I think we’re saying the same thing.
I also believe one should not make professional decisions based on these things. But if the person just keeps these messed up things to themselve in their free time and doesn’t mix it with the project/profession I can mostly tolerate that.
So we become intolerant to intolerance? This is the perfect never ending loop!
An individual’s personal beliefs has nothing with their profession. Unless they leak it into their profession. Now the profession has that ideology and we can address that. The person, and especially as long as it’s just words and tweets etc, is separate from the work.
Anyway, this is my unpopular opinion.
You can ask the person, not the software project. The project is just a project. We can tear eachotger to pieces as individuals and then sit at a table trying to solve problems as professionals.
Jami has so so much potential. I really root for it. Offline p2p LAN messengers are so important and useful.
