In terms of GPIO only, Arduino is quicker to get started. Getting an LED to blink is easier on Arduino because you don’t need to setup SSH or use the Pi’s GUI. It’s just that the Pi can do so much more than basic GPIO controlling.

The hardware itself was never particularity novel. The strength was in the software, support, and community which made the barrier to entry low and learning new skills easy.

My friend bought one of those, paired with I think 64gb of EMMC storage which is basically an SD card. It couldn’t browse the internet really with Edge in it’s default settings. I had to disable so much crap but I got it usable with Firefox.

Imagine a world where the Steam client is available on your Android phone and everything 10-15 years old will be playable, just like how most Windows games run without issues on Linux today.
No, but don’t get caught saying that on Lemmy.
I wonder if the viewfinder shows a slightly lower resolution/quality and the picture is taken in higher quality, showing a bit more detail. Not sure how it works.
Along with the other reasons given, seeing something in motion vs a static image.
Canadian here, same here but I’ve ever only heard the first one as “knicky knicky nine door”. But yeah that was the most common name here.
