Most of my experience has been good and friendly but there are certain maps that murderers tend to frequent. Stella mons has been where I’ve found most player killers. Overall though, people chat and team up successfully all the time

I think there’s some training info over on yepowertrippingmods if that helps
I’m daily driving it and it’s pretty nice. I was on fedora before and mint before that.

With screenshots of your systems sent and analyzed by ai

I get it, but there’s always a choice

It’s crazy to watch these developers march everyone’s jobs, including their own off a cliff.

Can you explain the questionable security practices?

Why don’t you look into projects that aren’t related to a company? Aren’t Ubuntu, fedora, and open suse the 3 that have corporate support? There are plenty of distros out there that are stable on the Debian branch and a lot of interesting projects on the Arch branch as well.

What’s went wrong in your .001% cases?

I’ll be sure to let you know 😜

Yeah bazzite is pretty stinking good. I have it on a media/gaming computer in my living room. Great for beginners but slightly annoying for some things since it’s immutable. I’ve ran into a couple things that it wouldn’t let me do. But, that’s also why I chose it for my living room. My family can’t easily break it

4 months or so? 0 issues so far. Was on fedora before that and had more problems. Mint before that and it’s not that mint is bad, it’s just not the only answer
I run an old Roomba that’s offline. It works perfectly fine without being connected to anything. It’s a vacuum, not everything needs to be smart. I’ll upgrade at some point and not let the new device on the Internet either

Haha they just can’t help but try and shove ai into everything. Down our fucking throats

The answer used to be mint. Now there are quite a few distros that are stable and “just work”. I’m using cachy as a daily driver at work and haven’t had any issues at all. And it’s arch based! So much for arch being unstable

This isn’t new. I heard them say years ago “yeah Sony won the console war but that doesn’t matter” implying cloud gaming

My typical reason is I need to sound less casual than I am in professional emails. Or I’ll ramble. I don’t copy paste but I’ll write an email in my normal tone, let the llm look at it and then fix it up. I’ve also used it to help me find new books when I’m in a draught. List ones I like and it’ll spit out suggestions. Today I couldn’t figure out a website issue so I copied and pasted the html and it generated a snippet of css for me that fixed the problem.

I personally don’t HATE ai but I don’t want it in my browser or email or anything like that. I have a local llm I use for random stuff all the time but I don’t need or want a company viewing everything I’m doing, adding buttons in places I’m likely to accidentally push, or training their shit on my dumb behavior. ai has destroyed much of the Internet already to the point that you almost need to use an llm in order to get any useful information during a search. Otherwise you’re just filtering through ai generated webpages with the highest seo possible.
It is if you play with me! My favorite thing is finding a player with low health and healing them or recharging their shield before they see me.
