Yeah but it demonstrates googles unwillingness to cooperate and give fair warnings.
beep boop
Yeah but it demonstrates googles unwillingness to cooperate and give fair warnings.
And its still better :)
Which is what i adressed in the comment…
This is such an obviously dumb take its unbelievabe anyone would come up with it. Ofcourse the cops need to respond to a call of someone claiming to be assaulted/abused/murdered. There is no issue with this at all. The issue that CAN arise is that bad police training might lead to someone getting actually hurt in a raid like this. But thats an entirely different issue.
You are so revolutionary. Much edgy, very wow.
On debian when i mount an ftp server through my file browser it uses gvfs
This will mount it to /run/user/1000/gvfs/ftp:host=<IP>,port=<PORT>,user=<fpt-user>
Here we go again
I use it. I like it. But i admit its fucking bloated to hell.
Maybe when you build some little application or whatever. When building the most used kernel in the world, there are probably some considerations that very few people can even try to understand.
Ah okay thats the one kind of device where there is nothing you can really do true.
Lots of laptops just use a removable m.2 wifi card. Have you considered replacing it with something thats properly supported? I know hardware costs money but not that much probably.
Gotta make space for dat AI stuff ya know. Cuz thats the future n shit.
I think that question can be answered by the recent horrible series of decisions by them. Mozilla really has been captured by the roots of enshittification at this point.
Afaik basically all CPUs do. Generally all hardware, if not artificially limited by withholding drivers, will perform better under linux.
Nope, its desgined for offline use, which is just not compatible with huge image files. I dont know what source they would use for sat images, but that would probably complicate things a lot either way. Also if you load sat image tiles from a webserver, then that server/provider will also always know your location.
Well its not gonna get any better by not supporting the companies that try to do better.
Gathering street view like data, processing it, running the service and keeping it up to date would require millions if not billions of dollars/euros in capturing equipment, server farms, wages, electricity, lawfirms.
If you want something thats compareable to the google service, its entirely impossible to do it with a project structure like osm has.
Even if someone had the funding to get started, they would most likely get bought out by google or apple or microsoft very quickly once they got comparable results.
Well put :)
Yeah i am just speculating. But so are people believing that its secure. Just like not having proof against god, doesnt make god real. If something cant be proven to be secure, it should be assumed that its compromised. There is no solution to this other than proving that its secure by releasing source code.
Which in turn means discord must be able to harvest all the data otherwise it wouldnt be able to connect.
