The Mazda was used daily for my commute, averaged about 19mpg (iirc), required regular tops ups with mineral oil, cost a fortune in road fund license etc.
It was still cheaper per month than the horse that didn’t get ridden much and spent its life in a field of its own food.
Cats Cars aren’t nearly as expensive in upkeep. There is a very good reason people started to switch to cars even before they were a lot faster than horses
Aren’t horses stupid expensive?
*and Biodegradable!
My wife had a horse. I had a Mazda RX—8.

And the horse didn’t even have a rotary engine!
Even though I don’t own it any more I still feel obliged to point out the difference….
Nothing like the sound of a wank in the morning
Yeah but a Wankel X-8 doesn’t sound nearly as cool
Yes.
I mean, so are cars.

The ones that are big enough to ride are very expensive again though.
Just feed them the drivers that cut you off in traffic instead of buying meat.
And almost as dangerous as a Tesla! Hey-o!
Yeah, unfortunately.
I think you were right the first time. Even when we took the damn stupid to the emergency vet it was cheaper than owning a horse.

But a car can’t make more cars if you have two of them.
Yeah but that won’t stop me from trying.
300-400 ish bucks where I live, it’s way more expensive to keep a horse than to buy one, even for a short time
