Basic gist of Stirner is
People are “the unique” and as such the ultimate deciders of our own existence of which we solely experience.
“Spooks”, what we now call social constructs control and trap people. That could be religion, nationality, morality, etc.
That people should work together in “unions of egoists” with others who share their values, and whose existence is subject only to its members wish to remain in it.
tl;dr: Our self interest enables us to do good through choice rather than coercion.
