My aunt’s dentist used to do this every February when he’d send out Valentines to all his clients. He said the acidity from the salsa helped negate the sugar from the Oreos so you could eat them instead of brushing your teeth.
Everyone stopped taking his advice when he started gifting them all didgeridoos full of piss though. It’s a shame but what can you do.

I’m trying to imagine the flavour of Oreos with salsa vs Oreos with nacho cheese, and I think that the cheese option would taste better. Not good, but better than salsa.
Nacho cheese would win for mouth feel too. Salsa, tasty as it is, is just a mess of wet and chunky.
I think it would be “cleaner” in terms of taste though. Like you could more easily wash it out with a sip of cold soda afterwards. But the nacho cheese with Oreo stuffing would linger for a while.
If we want a lingering taste, use the middle tray for Marmite.
