Trump, and his handlers like Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller co-opted the movement, in much the same way that RFK co-opted the make America healthy again movement.
When Trump steps aside or dies, or whatever, it’s going to create a power vacuum in a system that wasn’t created to handle Trump in the first place. The entire system is going to fracture as the original coup participants try to take back over, the Vances of the world try to continue the movement, and the rest of the people who were only in it because of the mentally ill influencer who’s books they thought were the absolute pinnacle of business stop paying attention to politics again.
