Isnt that… incest? The moon was born from earth if my space lore knowledge is up to date
Not incest, biblical!
If you go back far enough, all of the planets and moons come from the same stuff.
Same with people
People come from moons and planets?!
Well, yes. We are built from the Earth - our atoms cycle with the Earth’s over and over again.
The Moon was created after a collision with Earth, so some of our atoms are from the Moon, too.
Then ultimately, the Earth and the Moon were made of leftover material from the sun’s formation.
But the heavy elements that we rely on for life weren’t made in our sun - they only form in much more massive stars, ones that must have existed long before our sun was formed.
So actually, yes! We come from planets, the Moon, and stars themselves.
Our Sun is a second- or third-generation star. All of the rocky and metallic material we stand on, the iron in our blood, the calcium in our teeth, the carbon in our genes were produced billions of years ago in the interior of a red giant star. We are made of star-stuff. - Carl Sagan
All the matter on the earth is what we’re made of. But that wasn’t the point, go back far enough and we’re all related. But go back really far enough and the same stars that spat out the heavy elements that make up the moon and planets make up us too.
You see, when two people love each other very much, behind the Denny’s dumpster…
The hypothesis is that a planet called Theia smashed into the Earth and parts of Theia and the resulting debris eventually clumped back together into a separate celestial object that we now know as the moon. If that’s the case then parts of Theia ended up in Earth and parts of Earth and Theia ended up forming the moon.
I don’t get it?
To be specific, in this scenario, the Earth is propositioning the moon in a pseudo-sexual sense. The moon is concerned about catching what is the equivalent of an STD, which, in this comic is being aptly portrayed by humanity.
Humanity is absolutely a sexually transmitted disease.
See the little men on the moon?
Always wear protection, or you’ll infest the whole solar system
humans here are more like crab louse and there’s no protection against them

Planetary Protection
Planetary Protection is the practice of protecting solar system bodies from contamination by Earth life and protecting Earth from possible life forms that may be returned from other solar system bodies. NASA’s Office of Planetary Protection promotes the responsible exploration of the solar system by implementing and developing efforts that protect the science, explored environments and Earth.
NASA’s Planetary Protection policies and requirements ensure safe and verifiable scientific exploration for extraterrestrial life. The main objectives are to
- Carefully control forward contamination of other worlds by terrestrial organisms and organic materials carried by spacecraft in order to guarantee the integrity of the search and study of extraterrestrial life, if it exists.
- Rigorously preclude backward contamination of Earth by extraterrestrial life or bioactive molecules in returned samples from habitable worlds in order to prevent potentially harmful consequences for humans and the Earth’s biosphere.
