I immediately felt sorry for Zendaya’s character.
Instantly, I knew she had a rough time in school.

If I were in that scene, I’d have given her a hug and congratulated her on getting through, becoming a great person. But all the other characters only had various levels of a problem with her. I spent the whole movie thinking someone would see it my way, but nobody did.

      Yeah, I get that.

I mean, what she did was still pretty bad, just the fact that she was totally willing to do that, so I get the other peoples reaction.

I mean, the reaction of her one friend (I don’t remember her name), was a bit overblown, but she had pretty good reasons to (with her cousin and stuff).

I like, that she never tried to justify it in any way, she was like “Yeah, it was really messed up, and I can’t justify it”, but also she changed and grew, so she really regretted it. I think her problem was, that it is really hard to properly communicate how she has changed. And it would probably have been a better idea to talk to her partner about this and not all her friends.

And also her partner had a really hard time trying to accept this, he tried to justify it to himself. He should have been much more caring and supportive. I think he realized this towards the end.
