I mean yeah that’s what they’ve been saying for like 60 plus years right? Is it even news at this point?

I guess the context is different where international laws are not observed anymore and world is at mercy of bullies, thugs, pedophiles, demented persons and genocidal leaders

They existed to certain degree at least and were never so clearly violated like in the past few years. It depends on how you look at the half full/empty glass I guess. Now it’s empty.

The nekba is not a clearly violation of international law? Many countries contributing to to the writting of it was still colonizing and killing people

Let’s be blunt about this. KMT is heavily supported by the PRC. They are not so much an “opposition party” as they are an instrument of the Chinese government operating Taiwan. The leader of KMT met with the leader of the PRC to receive marching orders.

If China would just agree to independence and work with Taiwan they would be able to heavily influence them due to geographical location and the rest of the world would treat them as the one and only superpower replacing America.

That would make them the world superpower without question.

China fucked that up when they got impatient and rushed Hong Kong, breaking their promise. Taiwan will never trust them.
